WWE LIVE EVENT REPORT
DECEMBER 10, 2018
ONTARIO, CALIF.
REPORT BY MIKE BROUILLETTE, PWTORCH CORRESPONDENT

If you attend a live event, please send results in the format of the following report to pwtorch@pwtorch.com. Thanks!

Estimated Attendance: 5,000 (Venue holds roughly 11,000, Top was blocked off – about 75 percent full of what was available)

(1) Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe via pinfall. Jeff Hardy was very over, as was Samoa Joe. The two worked a very basic match, with Samoa Joe grabbing beer from under the ring as he would attempt to dump it onto Jeff Hardy. This led to a finish that say Jeff Hardy hitting the Twist of Fate onto Samoa Joe, causing Samoa Joe to spit beer into the air. Fun opener to get the crowd into it.

(2) The Club & Shelton Benjamin defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas (w/Zelina Vega & The Colons) when Karl Anderson pinned Primo after a Magic Killer. Another fun match, lots of fan interaction in a pretty basic match as well. Andrade “Cien” Almas carries himself like an absolute superstar. Vega is amazing.

(3) Charlotte defeated Asuka via pinfall. Match of the night, and the second best match I’ve ever seen live (second to #DIY defeating The Revival at an NXT show). Seriously, if this match tonight is any indication of what WWE is going to present tomorrow on Smackdown, then we are in for a treat. This match was absolutely fantastic, and went well over 20 minutes with countless near falls. Charlotte was very over, but Asuka was considerably over (atleast from where I was sitting) for what it’s worth.

(4) The Bar defeated The New Day via pinfall to retain the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships. The Bar won when Sheamus pinned Big E after hitting the brogue kick, but this match was mainly a comedy match.

Intermission

(5) Lana defeated The IIconics in a dance off. The fans didn’t really seem into this at all, but Lana won. This lead to Peyton Royce challenging Lana to a actual match.

(6) Lana defeated Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay) via pinfall. The match went about three or four minutes, with Lana getting the victory. After getting the victory, Billie Kay demanded a match against Lana.

(7) Lana defeated Billie Kay (w/Peyton Royce) via pinfall. Yes, Lana went 3-0 tonight. Match lasted maybe 30 seconds.

(8) Rusev defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via disqualification in a United States Championship match, after Shinsuke Nakamura hit Rusev with a low-blow. The match was very good, fairly hard hitting and both men were over. Shinsuke more than Rusev.

(9) Daniel Bryan pinned The Miz to retain the WWE Championship. The New Daniel Bryan is absolutely wonderful as a heel. The fans turned on him and chanted for The Miz the entire match, Daniel Bryan getting nuclear heat. Fans want to cheer him, and do, by booing him out of respect. Really fun, and really good match. The Miz played the babyface AWESOMELY here!
