•Closing Commentary

The past two episodes of Impact have been the two best episodes I’ve seen since Scott D’Amore and Don Callis took creative control. On Friday’s episode, the final three matches were all great, and not once was I bored during the episode.

Yeah, the undead realm program with Dark Allie and Su Yung isn’t my thing, but the match between Dark Allie and Jordynne Grace was really enjoyable. Rosemary has really freshened up this program and, in my opinion, has made it somewhat watchable. Also, I really like the way Killer Kross is being presented as a major star. Hopefully, they don’t immediately feed him to Johnny Impact as most – if not all – fans would react favorably to Kross.

Unfortunately, hardly anyone is watching these shows, and Impact now has less buzz than Major League Wrestling. Ed Nordholm did announce this week that Impact will run four pay-per-views this year, with Homecoming being the first. It was reported earlier this week that Lockdown would be returning in April, which leaves Slammiversary in June and Bound for Glory in October.

I highly encourage everyone to give Impact a chance after these two weeks of good television. If you don’t have Pursuit, you can watch it free on Twitch.TV every Friday at 10 pm ET. But you do have to watch it live on Twitch as Impact doesn’t provide a VOD option. That is one gripe I do have with Impact at the moment, but hopefully, this will be changed in the future.
