Smackdown Rating: NBA crushes the competition and sends Smackdown tumbling to worst regular night viewership number in show’s history

The May 14 episode of WWE Smackdown on USA Network drew a 1.38 rating with record-low viewership of 1.827 million, below the two weeks ago previous low of 1.833 million. The rating is below the year-ago rating of 1.64 and the two-years-ago rating of 1.53.

The yearly average rating through this week is 1.54, below the year-ago average through this week of 1.78. The current ten-week rolling average is  1.55.

In the Tuesday night cable ratings, the NBA’s Golden State Warriors vs. Portland Trailblazers Conference Finals game blew away all competition with 7.315 million viewers, nearly quadruple the Smackdown viewership. Smackdown dropped to no. 6 in the nightly cable ratings among 18-49 year olds behind the NBA Draft Lottery, ESPN SportCenter, another ESPN NBA show, and the NHL Conference Finals between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Panthers .

“Miz & Mrs” on USA Network drew 1.009 million viewers, finally topping 1 million after previously coming very close. “Growing Up Chrisley” aired after “Miz & Mrs” and drew 728,000.
