WWE Smackdown Live on USA Network this week (5/28) drew a 1.53 rating, the highest rating since Apr. 23, up from last week’s 1.45. With no NBA or NHL playoff competition on cable, and perhaps because some fans missing Raw the night before due to Memorial Day, Smackdown drew more than 2 million viewers for the first time since Apr. 23.

One year ago this week Smackdown drew a 1.57 and two years ago this week a 1.62.

Smackdown topped cable ratings on Tuesday night in the key 18-49 demo (with a 0.7 rating), although it drew fewer viewers than several political news shows. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was in second place in the 18-49 demo followed by “Chrisley Knows Best” on USA Network.

The May average rating was 1.46. The average for 2019 so far is 1.53, down from the year-ago average at this point of 1.76.
