SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-The following matches are advertised for ROH’s “Best in the World” PPV on June 28 in Baltimore, Maryland: ROH World Champion Matt Taven vs. Jeff Cobb, ROH World TV Champion Shane Taylor vs. Bandido, ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll & PCO & Brody King vs. Lifeblood (Mark Haskins & Tracy Williams & PJ Black), Dalton Castle vs. Dragon Lee. RUSH vs. Flip Gordon. NWA Worlds Champion Nick Aldis & NWA National Champion Colt Cabana vs. The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe), Silas Young vs. Jonathan Gresham in a Pure Rules match, and Kelly Klein & Jenny Rose vs. The Allure (Angelina Love & Mandy Leon).

-The latest edition of The Eck Files on ROHWrestling.com from ROH creative team member Kevin Eck has been published. Eck mentions that he is hearing the fourth member of Villain Enterprises will be revealed on June 28 at the Best in the World PPV or the following day at the ROH TV tapings set to be held in Philadelphia, PA.

Other highlights of The Eck file include the announcement that there will be a 30 minute pre-show that will air free prior to Best in the World next week, a former ROH World Tag Team Champion will return during Best in the World weekend, and an international star that has competed in ROH in the past will return to the company on a full-time basis in the near future.

-The Eck Files revealed some information regarding ROH’s TV tapings next weekend on June 29 in Philadelphia. Angelina Love vs. Jenny Rose vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Stella Grey will compete in a Four Corner Survival Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the Women of Honor Championship, which is currently held by Kelly Klein.

It was also mentioned in The Eck Files that The Soldiers of Savagery (Moses & Kaun) will be appearing at the TV tapings.

Radican’s Analysis: I enjoyed this edition of The Eck files where he leaks information about upcoming happenings in ROH, but doesn’t give away everything. It gives ROH an element of excitement to tease storyline development and new talent entering ROH, which is something that hasn’t happened often in the past.

-Maria Manic has signed with ROH and will compete in the Women of Honor division. Fightful.com was the first to report that Manic would be signing with ROH several weeks ago. ROH tweeted out a teaser for Manic’s debut, which can be seen below:

Radican’s Analysis: This is a really good signing for ROH. Manic is really talented and the WOH division badly needs characters like the one Manic has portrayed on the independents. She is a force of nature in the ring and really stands out given the “Maneater” tattoo on her midsection.

-Jonathan Gresham, who was recently working without a contract in ROH, has signed a new deal with the ROH. Gresham will be moving to Maryland and be even more involved in the ROH Dojo where he has been working as a trainer. Fightful reported that Gresham’s previous contract expired in late April.

PWTorch has been unable to confirm the length of the deal and whether or not Gresham has an exclusive contract or not. Gresham’s previous contract was non-exclusive. PWTorch has confired that Gresham has signed a new deal with ROH. PWInsider was the first to report Gresham’s signing a new deal with ROH.

Radican’s Analysis: Gresham seems to be a valuable member of the ROH roster, so I’m surprised they let his deal expire and let him work as a free agent for nearly two months. I’m not sure if other companies would have had interest in Gresham, but given what he has brought to the table in the ring and to the ROH Dojo, he’s a good signing for the company.
