WWE Smackdown Rating to end the summer and comparisons to past two years, key metrics, plus Miz & Mrs viewership and cable ranking

WWE Smackdown last night drew a 1.50 rating, a pretty typical rating for Smackdown lately, as the ten-week rolling average is 1.49. Last week Smackdown drew a 1.56. August finished with a 1.54 rating, above the 1.46 for July and 1.40 for June. It nearly matches the 1.55 average for April.

One year ago this week Smackdown drew a 1.62, two years ago a 1.74, so each of the last two years Smackdown dropped 0.12 from the prior year. Smackdown’s average viewership this year is 1.51, down from last year’s 1.71.

Smackdown finished atop Tuesday’s cable ratings in the key 18-49 demographic with a 0.6 rating, edging “Real Housewives of the OC” on Bravo, which drew a 0.5 rating in that demo. “Miz & Mrs” following Smackdown finished third overall with a 04 rating and 1.094 million viewers, beating “Growing Up Chrisley” which followed it which drew 741,000 viewers. The most viewed show of the night among the top 15 shows in the 18-49 demo was “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC with 2.690 million viewers. “Hannity” on Fox News drew 3.167 million viewers and just snuck in at the no. 25 spot in the key demo rankings.
