SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Miro has re-signed a new contract with AEW.

Fightful Select is reporting that Miro has signed a four year agreement with the company, which will keep him in AEW until 2026. The report indicates that both sides came to an agreement at the end of 2021, but it took extended time to sign the deal. Miro has been absent from AEW television due to an injury to his hamstring toward the end of last year.

Miro is a former TNT Champion in AEW. He debuted with the company in September of 2020 and was immediately attached to Kip Sabian as Kips’s best man. Miro would go on to play a role in some comedy segments involving video games and Sabian’s on-air wedding to Penelope Ford before ditching them and working his way into the current Redeemer gimmick that he’s in now.

Miro last wrestled at AEW Full Gear in November. He was a last minute addition to the AEW World Championship number one contender tournament after Jon Moxley was removed to enter an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Miro lost to Bryan Danielson in the finals. Danielson would go on to face Adam Page for the AEW World Championship.

Though Miro has been off TV since November due to an injury, he has been cleared to return. There is no official word on when he will appear on Dynamite again.
