Bianca Belair is the new WWE Raw Women’s Champion.

Belair defeated Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 to win the championship, her first on the Raw brand. Belair won the Smackdown Women’s Championship at last year’s WrestleMania, defeating Sasha Banks in the main event. Belair lost that Smackdown title to Becky Lynch in 26 seconds at Summerslam last year.

Lynch and Belair traded offense in front of a hooked crowd. To start, Lynch hit Belair with a Man-Handle Slam like she did at Summerslam, but Belair kicked out. From there, the match was stocked with major impact moments including Belair hitting a perfect 450 Splash off of the second rope, an impressive vertical suplex from Belair on the outside of the ring, and a second Man-Handle Slam from Lynch on top of the steel steps. In the end, Belair lifted Lynch into the air and connected with the KOD before covering for the victory.

Bianca Belair earned the opportunity to face Lynch after winning the women’s Elimination Chamber match in February.
