Cody Rhodes is set to have a live microphone on this week’s post-WrestleMania episodes of Monday Night Raw.
In a post on Instagram, Rhodes said that he was looking forward to having a live microphone in his hand for the first time in six years on WWE television.
“Thank you all. Let’s live forever. Looking forward to having a live WWE mic in my hand for the first time in over six years tomorrow.”
Cody Rhodes returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38 and defeated Seth Rollins. Rhodes has been a mainstay act in AEW since the company’s inception in 2019. He was also an Executive Vice President of the company along with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. Rhodes recently left AEW, after Khan and Rhodes could not come ton an agreement on a new contract.
The Raw after WrestleMania has become a tradition as a cap for WrestleMania weekend. The show typically features surprise returns and major moments, taking advantage of a hot WrestleMania audience. Specific matches and segments have not yet been announced for the show.
WrestleMania 38 was a two night affair and featured Roman Reigns defeating Brock Lesnar to become the Unified World Champion in WWE. In addition, Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to become the Raw Women’s Champion, RK-Bro defeated Alpha Academy and Street Profits to retain their Raw Tag Team Championship, Johnny Knoxville defeated Sami Zayn, Steve Austin defeated Kevin Owens in an impromptu no holds barred match, and more.
