SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The recent Logan Paul WWE babyface turn was reportedly negotiated into his deal to return to the company for his match at WrestleMania 38.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that though Paul’s WrestleMania match framed him as a heel alongside The Miz, the contract he signed with WWE assured Paul of a babyface turn down the road.

At WrestleMania 38, Logan Paul & The Miz defeated Rey Mysterio & Dominik Mysterio. Paul mocked Eddie Guerrero throughout the match, utilizing Guerrero’s Three Amigos move and top rope frog splash. After the match, Paul and Miz posed together for the audience, until Miz side-eyed Paul. From there, The Miz dropped Paul with the Skull Crushing Finale and arrogantly stormed out of the ring.

Paul joined WWE at WrestleMania 37 last year, accompanying Sami Zayn to the ring for his match against Kevin Owens. Owens won the match and briefly celebrated with Paul in the ring before dropping him with a Stunner.

Logan Paul is a social media influencer and YouTube star. He has over 22 million followers on Instagram and over 23 million subscribers to his YouTube channel. Paul has entered the world of professional boxing, facing fellow YouTuber KSI in two fights. Paul also fought Floyd Mayweather on May 6 of last year. Paul and Mayweather went the full distance, but a winner was not announced due to the exhibition style nature of the bout.

It appears Paul and Miz are on a collision course for a match at some point in time. Though contractually Paul is slated to be a babyface, audiences to this point have not reacted favorably to Paul.
