SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Next week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw will feature two grudge matches that were setup on this week’s episode of the show. A.J. Styles will face Damian Priest and Veer Mahaan is scheduled to take on Rey Mysterio.

At WrestleMania 38, Priest aligned himself with Edge, distracting A.J. Styles ahead of a Phenomenal Forearm that would have led to a Styles victory. This week on Raw, Priest and Edge discussed their allegiance before being interrupted by Styles. Styles bolted to the ring for a fight, got a few shots in on both Priest and Edge, but was eventually overcome by the two on one handicap he faced.

Mahaan has been teased to appear on Raw ever since being drafted to the brand during last year’s WWE Draft. Before the move, he was aligned with Jinder Mahal and Shankey. WWE ran countless vignettes on Mahaan’s debut, but never confirmed when he would debut. Before WrestleMania it was revealed that Mahaan would finally appear on the post-Mania episode of Raw.

After The Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio in seconds, Mahaan’s music hit and he briskly walked to the ring. It looked as if he was going to help Rey and Dominik, but attacked them both instead, thus setting up the match next week.

Mahaan was not a part of WrestleMania weekend events with WWE. Rey & Dominik Mysterio lost to The Miz and Logan Paul on night one of WrestleMania. Edge pinned A.J. Styles during night two of the event.
