SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

NXT star, Nash Carter, has been released from the WWE. Carter is one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions as a part of the MSK tag team.

Fightful is reporting that Carter was released after multiple allegations were made against him by his wife, Kimber Lee. Lee alleges that Carter held anti-LGBTQ views and was also abusive toward her physically and emotionally. Carter and Lee have been married for two years. WWE and Carter have not commented on the allegations or the reported release.

MSK joined the WWE as part of NXT in 2020. The team won the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and went on to win the NXT Tag Team Championships later that year, defeating Grizzled Young Veterans and Legado Del Fantasma at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver over WrestleMania 37 weekend.

MSK lost the tag titles to Imperium at Halloween Havoc and went on a journey to find their shaman. The shaman would end up being Riddle. After the team found him, they went on to secure a tag team title opportunity at NXT Stand and Deliver this year over WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas, Texas. At the event, MSK defeated Imperium to once again become the NXT Tag Team Champions.

Carter worked for Impact Wrestling from 2018 to 2020 as part of The Rascalz. They did not win tag team gold in Impact Wrestling, but did hold tag team titles in PWG and AAW.

Carter’s tag partner, Wes Lee, has not made public comments on the release or future of the NXT Tag Team Championships.
