New Japan Pro Wrestling officially released a statement on Sunday regarding Fite TV streaming issues viewers had for Windy City Riot on Saturday night.

“New Japan Pro-Wrestling deeply apologizes for the persistent technical issues and poor video and audio quality of the Windy City Riot live stream on Fite.

A rectified archive of the event will be made fully viewable in its entirety as soon as possible. The archive will also be viewable on NJPW World from May 4.

For customer support and refunds, check Fite’s website”

Windy City Riot aired live on Fite TV from Chicago, Illinois. On the show, Tomohiro Ishii defeated Minoru Suzuki. After the match, Eddie Kingston walked to the ring and confronted Ishii. Kingston told Ishii how much he respected him and history in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but then challenged him to a match.

In the main event, Jon Moxley defeated Will Ospreay in a match that saw both men bleeding from the face. Ospreay tapped out to give Moxley the victory. On the microphone to close the show, Moxley angrily called out Hiroshi Tanahashi. Moxley said that Tanahashi needed to accept his challenge for a match on May 14 at Capital Collision. For months, Moxley has called out Tanahashi for a match, but both have yet to share the ring together.

Other matches on the card included The United Empire vs. Bullet Club, Tom Lawlor vs. Yuji Nagata, and Jay White vs. a surprise opponent that turned out to be Shota Umino.
