SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

This week’s episode of NXT 2.0 has wrapped. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane and relive some of the madness

-Nikkita Lyons vs. Lash Legend? Again? Neither are ready for developmental television right now one time, let alone two. What am I missing with Lyons? Enlighten me, please?

-So up and coming heel Tony D’Angelo faces off against up and coming heel in Von Wagner? I know the finish was what it was and D’Angelo is protected, but like, there aren’t any babyfaces on the roster to work with in a squash like way? What about all that talent at the WWE Performance Center? Nothing?

-Not sure what it is, but I buy tough love from Roderick Strong. The Creed Brothers did too.

-Roxanne Perez is going to make a lot of money in WWE. Her charisma and personality are likable and she already has a connection with the crowd. She may just be the perfect women’s division babyface for this WWE in 2022.

-Perez had Mandy Rose’s best match to-date in NXT 2.0. The match accomplished two important things. One, put Rose over strong as champion. Two, Perez painted as a fighting babyface. The silly net at the end? Yeah, can do without that and Perez is better off staying away from Wendy Choo instead of partnering next to her. The Choo gimmick just reeks of limitations at this point and Perez has a higher ceiling than that.

-Nathan Frazer is as cold as ice. Like, once a top star on the independents now in jobber position opposite Grayson Waller.

-Katana Chance and Kayden Carter look the part they’re trying to play, but don’t act the part. They sure seem happy out there performing, though. Time for them to take that to another level.

-Just an ok match between Briggs and Fallon against Legado Del Fantasma. Legado is ill-defined too. Santos Escobar working babyface, but his goons working heel? Yuck.

-Really good action between Solo Sikoa and Trick Williams. Sikoa’s got “it” and would fit perfectly with Roman Reigns on Smackdown and on his own during Monday Night Raw. One of the better talents out there.

Joe Gacy showcased his best promo work ever tonight. Gacy’s verbiage and words pointed somewhere, which made them resonate more.
