[HOUR ONE]
-They showed pyro blasting on the stage and then a wide shot of the audience as Excalibur introduced the show.
-Tony Schiavone introduced the show mid-ring and introduced “Hangman” Adam Page for the contract signing for the AEW World Title match at All Out this Saturday. Then Kyle Fletcher, accompanied by Don Callis, came out. Callis cut off Schiavone and said he remembers “when he took the AEW World Title from me when you beat your weakling friend Kenny Omega many years ago.” He said he’s been waiting all this time to take it back, and he has someone bigger and better than Omega to take it from him.
Hangman said he’s happy that Fletcher is in agreement that they should have a one-on-one match. He said he’s had enough of so many people interfering in matches. “It is certainly not because I would have any issue with putting you and the rest of the family in the ground at All Out,” he said. He said he sees the potential in Fletcher and what he could be. He said he is 26 years old and could be in AEW for decades. He said he is someone the entire roster could look to to carry AEW in the future. He said he has to prove he is the man who is worthy of it. He said he’ll have to earn it on his own. He said if Don or any other member of the Don Callis Family interferes, he’ll be disqualified from the match and also lose the TNT Championship. Callis exclaimed, “What are you talking about?”
Hangman asked Fletcher if he’s so sure of himself now compared to last week. Fletcher said, “You think that scares me, Hangman?” He said he is scared of nothing. He said on Saturday there will be nobody else involved, but that changes nothing because he is the best wrestler to step foot inside an AEW ring. He said he’ll fulfill his destiny when he becomes the AEW World Champion. He said he is better than he was in 2019 when Hangman first wrestled for that title and better than him in 2021 when he first won the title and he’s better than him now. He said what AEW needs is him. He said on Saturday, he will allow him to ride off into the sunset because the entire company belongs to him now. He signed the contract.
Hangman said he knows how it feels to be him right now. He said he’s been in his shoes. He said what he doesn’t know yet is how it feels the morning after All Out. He said it will crush him and ruin him after he takes every shred of confidence from him. He said he believes Fletcher will give it all he has, but it won’t be enough and he’ll be sure of it. He said, “At All Out and in the days and years that follow, do not disappoint me.”
As Schiavone began to conclude the segment, Fletcher cut him off and stood and said he is a man of his word. He said there will be no interference this Saturday, but he promised him he is leaving with the TNT and World championships on Saturday. “And tonight, I am going to leave you beaten, bloodied, and unable to continue to walk out of here on your own two feet,” he said. He added, “Until that moment comes, say my full name.” He shoved the mic into Hangman’s chest and left.
-A video feature featuring clips of gore and violence aired on the Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin match at All Out. Moxley said nobody loves Darby more than him. Darby asked what Mox did to Bryan Danielson. A clip aired of Darby on Mr. Everest. Mox said Darby must be destroyed and he’ll put him in the ground.
(Keller’s Analysis: Well produced segment. That’s two segments in a row with wrestlers referencing putting opponents in the ground, though. I’d be in favor of an edict from Tony Khan pausing any references to killing opponents.)
(1) JON MOXLEY (w/Danny Garcia, Marina Shafir) vs. RODERICK STRONG (w/Kyle O’Reilly)
Danielson said he has given up on Yuta becoming the future of pro wrestling. He said he’s more of a follower than a leader. The bell rang 17 minutes into the hour. A few minutes in, Strong got in the face of Shafir as Garcia and O’Reilly exchanged heated words. Mox gave Strong a shot to the throat. Mox threw Strong over the ring barricade. They cut to a double-box break at 5:00. [c/db]
Strong made a comeback after the break, but Excalibur noted he is unsteady on his feet. Mox came back with a leaping piledriver for a near fall. Mox was casual with his pin. Mox then applied an extended Juji Gatame armbar. Strong stood and suplexed out of Mox’s grip and scored a two count.
Mox bit Strong’s hand as Strong set up a top rope move. Strong threw Mox to the mat and Strong scored a two count with his arm draped over Mox’s chest. Garcia grabbed Strong’s legs. O’Reilly went after him. Strong fought back against Mox in the ring, but when he ran the ropes, Yuta tripped him (although Strong bumped forward as if he was grabbed before Yuta got there, which was not pretty). Mox then landed a Paradigm Shift on Strong and put Strong in the bulldog choke for the win.
WINNER: Moxley in 14:00.
(Keller’s Analysis: Good match for the most part, with a lot of moving parts. The pre-trip bump by Strong at the end was unfortunate.)
-Excalibur plugged the “subscriber price that is exclusive,” a discount of $10 off the usual $49.95 PPV price other distributors charge.
-A recap aired of the lead up to the MJF-Mark Briscoe match with Briscoe naming a “Tables and Thumb Tacks” stipulation for their match at All Out.
-Footage aired of a camera pointed at Tony Khan’s office door. MJF could be heard telling Tony Khan that the stipulation be dropped. MJF said TK screwed him at Forbidden Door by taking away his chance to cash in his title match on his own terms so he owes him. TK yelled back and said he owes him nothing. “When it comes to Mark Briscoe, you violated the rules of AEW and integrity of the sport of professional wrestling, so no I don’t think so,” he said. MJF said he hopes he is proud of himself. “I hope you are happy when there is another Briscoe in the dirt and it is on you, not me.” MJF stormed out of TK’s office and didn’t acknowledge the camera.
(Keller’s Analysis: Alrighty, then; that makes three references to putting wrestlers in the dirt in the first 35 minutes of the show.) [c]
(2) BOBBY LASHLEY (w/Shelton Benjamin, MVP) vs. TOA LIONA (w/Ricochet, Bishop Kahn)
The bell rang 41 minutes into the hour. They fought back forth for a couple minutes. Liona gave Lashley a Samoan Drop onto the edge of the ring apron. They cut to a double-box break at 2:30. [c/db]
Lashley lifted Liona onto his shoulders and dropped back. Both were down and slow to get up. Liona avoided a spear in the ring. Lashley dropped to ringside and speared Liona at ringside. Khan distracted Lashley. Shelton kicked him. Liona speared a distracted Lashley for a two count at 8:00. Danielson said Liona would have been the first person to pin Lashley in AEW. Lashley applied a full nelson on Liona. Liona passed out and the ref called for the bell.
WINNER: Lashley in 9:00.
-After the match, Ricochet and Kahn entered the ring and went after Lashley. MVP broke his cane across Ricochet’s back in a chaotic fight in the ring. Fans chanted, “MVP!” Danielson said, “This is turning into chaos.” [c]
-Schiavone stood mid-ring and talked about FTR and Christian Cage & Adam Copeland battling two-on-two on Saturday. He introduced Copeland first, noting they’d be reuniting in their home country. Fans sang his song after his music stopped. Copeland soaked it up. Christian then came out. He said they’ll step into the ring a partners in their hometown this Saturday for the first time in more than 20 years.
Schiavone then introduced Dax, Cash, and Stokely Hathaway. They were led to the ring by eight security guys (or “by my count, more than a dozen,” according to Excalibur).
[HOUR TWO]
Schiavone said there will be heavy fines if there’s any physicality in this segment. Stokely said he wanted to reiterate to Copeland and Christian that if they touch him, they owe him $500,000. He said he’ll also see to it that their match on Saturday is canceled. He said their family and friends will be disappointed if that happens. He said FTR will “say what they want to say first.”
Cash talked about meeting Copeland 16 years ago when Copeland was one of the biggest stars in the industry. He said he was a nobody trying to get an opportunity and they became friends. He said he gave him advice and told him he could crack the door open for him, but he’d have to kick it down himself. He said ten years later, they became the best tag team ever and became living legends. He said then he came to AEW and made it the Cope Show and put the spotlight on himself “while we do all the work.” He said six years ago, they helped him get his career back, but Saturday they’ll take away from him for good.
Dax said there was a time when Copeland & Christian were the best tag team in the world. He said that was because their competition was mediocre. He said for 11 years, he and Cash have carried tag team wrestling on their backs and cemented themselves as a generational tag team. He brought up tag teams from NXT, ROH, and AEW they’ve wrestled. He said “over seven different brands, we are one of one.” Dax said in another life, it might’ve been a dream match, but this is the life they’re dealt. “Saturday, don’t make us end yours,” he said.
(Keller’s Analysis: We’re up to four references of killing opponents within the first 66 minutes of this show.)
Copeland yanked the mic away and said emphatically that it’s time for them to listen to him. He told Stokley he knows all about disappointment, so that’s why he gets no hos. He told them to leave his wife’s name out of it. Copeland said he opened the door to cash because he was homeless. Cash nodded. He said he didn’t ask for anything in return.
Copeland said the fans don’t want them (FTR) in the spotlight, but they wanted him (Copeland) in the spotlight. Fans cheered. He said when FTR were getting base in their voice, they were revolutionizing tag team wrestling. “We created a damn match that turned into a pay-per-view,” he said. He said when they drag them into deep water and they are reigning fists on their faces and they are begging for mercy, they’ll understand why there is only one Cope and Cage. Christian yanked the mic away and said, “Cage and Cope.” Copeland stared at Christian; Christian looked away. Copeland called them pieces of shit and said they will show they are better than them. (Doesn’t he mean he’s going to “kill them”?)
Christian said Stokely might be able to get himself some hos with $500,000. He said $500,000 doesn’t mean a thing to him because he’s rich. He punched FTR, thus accepting a big fine. Everyone brawled. Christian and Copeland gave their finishes to security guys. The heel trio left. Copeland’s music played. Dax was bleeding heavily from the nose.
-Renee Paquette approached The Young Bucks backstage. Nick Jackson was all dressed up after last weeks winners’ purse. He said “from rags to riches.” Matt said they’ll become the first-ever four-time AEW Tag Team Champions. Nick gave Renee $10,000. Renee was thrilled. She wished them luck and began counting the money.
(3) THE YOUNG BUCKS (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. AUSTIN GUNN & JUICE ROBINSON – Winner Gets A Spot in the Four-way match at All Out for AEW Tag Team Titles
As the Bucks made their entrance, Taz said he’s a saver by nature “unlike most wrestlers.” The graphic said, “The Young Bucks Are Great Guys!” A clip aired of the Bucks at a casino. Excalibur said the Bucks were never great stewards of AEW’s finances when they were EVPs. Danielson said when you’re young, you think $500,000 is a lot of money, but in 2025, it can go quickly.
The bell rang 14 minutes into the hour. They cut to a double-box break at 3:00. [c/db]
The Bucks eventually won with a TK Driver on Juice.
WINNERS: The Bucks in 12:00 to advance to the All Out tag title match four-way.
-A video package aired on the Tailgate Brawl’s eight-woman tornado tag match on the All Out pre-show.
(4) THE BEAST MORTOS vs. MASCARA DORADA – Winner Gets Third Spot in Three-way match at All Out for the AEW Unified Title
The bell rang 32 minutes into the hour. After some fast-paced action, Mortos landed a tornado crossbody dive through the ropes onto Dorada at ringside. They cut to a double-box break at 2:00. [c/db]
Dorada landed a Destroyer on the ring apron and then a tornado dive over the top rope to ringside. Dorada went for a top rope splash, but Mortos moved and then he delivered a backbreaker. Dorada fired back with a Destroyer and then scored a two count at 7:00.
After a clunky sequence by Dorada, Mortos took over. Dorada made a comeback and landed a shooting star press off the top rope for the win.
WINNER: Dorada in 10:00.
-After the match, Kazuchika Okada walked out with Don Callis. Konosuke Takeshita walked out on his own afterward. Okada and Takeshita had a staredown. Dorada then springboarded onto Okada as Takeshita stepped back and watched. Takeshita and Dorada then had a staredown. [c]
-Toni Storm made her entrance onto the stage. She said she has loved “every single disgusting, sweaty, bloody, sexually questionable second of” her title reign. She said AEW is where the best wrestle and if you’re not willing to put your life on the line every time you step in the ring, “then, darling, you ain’t shit.” She said she will now risk it all for three women who are worthy of her mantle. She said if it is indeed the end of her reign, it has been the honor of her life. “But ladies, if you really want to take my title, then I suggest you burn my body to the ground and then you pack my ashes into a little pipe and then you take a big fat puff because nobody will get you as high as I can, darling.”
Jamie Hayter barged in and said she’s not a fan of the spotlight. She told Storm she can keep it, but after All Out, she won’t look as good without the title. She said Toni should remember three things: I don’t forget, you invited me into this match, and Hayter hits hard. Kris Statlander barged in from the other side. She said she hasn’t wrestled for that title in four year. She said she realizes that neither of them have the ovaries. She told them to “remember that you can’t stop Stat.” Storm told them to “trim their bushes bitches because we’re about to go All Out.” Then Thekla walked out and referees stepped between them. Excalibur said Thekla upstaged the others.
(5) THEKLA vs. QUEEN AMINATA – No Holds Barred match
The bell rang 54 minutes into the hour. They hit each other with trash cans and lids and other apparatus before cutting to a break. [c/db]
[HOUR THREE]
Thekla avoided a top rope move by Aminata and then stomped her head into chairs for the win, although Aminata seemed to be trying to kick out and lifted her shoulder.
WINNER: Thekla in 9:00.
-After the match, Thekla said cut a promo about facing Storm on Saturday. Storm ran out to the ring and tackled Thekla. She pounded away at her and stomped her. When Hayter stepped onto the ring apron, Statlander yanked her down. Excalibur said these four would wrestle on Saturday. Julia Hart and Skye Blue ran out attacked Storm. Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta came out and talked with Statlander at ringside. Excalibur said they’ve been trying to recruit her. Danielson noted the match at All Out is no DQ, so others can legally interfere. Storm fought back and cleared the ring until Hayter came up behind her. Storm turned around in time. They argued to close the segment.
-Alicia Atout interviewed Dante Martin, Darius Martin, Scorpio Sky, and Christopher Daniels in the parking area. Hangman walked up to them and told them to look out for Don Callis Family members. Daniels told Hangman they got each others’ backs, but Hangman needs to take care of Fletcher at All Out.
(5) KILLSWITCH & KIP SABIAN (w/Mother Wayne) vs. JET SPEED (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) – Qualifier for Four-Way Ladder match at All Out
The bell rang 9 minutes into the hour. Danielson said there is clear dissension between Sabian and Killswitch, with Sabian bossing Killswitch around. They cut to a break after Sabian landed an Arabian press on Bailey. [c/db]
Killswitch shoved Sabian’s foot off the ropes during a pin. He then refused to tag in. Bailey then finished off Sabian with a karate kick for the win.
WINNERS: Jet Speed at 12:00.
-Big Bill, with Bryan Keith, said he wouldn’t be surprised if Eddie Kingston didn’t show up at All Out to wrestle him. He said Canada is an embarrassment of a country. He said he’ll expose Eddie as a fraud if he actually shows up. [c]
-Excalibur plugged Darby vs. Mox.
-Danielson conducted a sitdown interview with Darby. He asked why he climbed Mt. Everest. Darby said he spent his career trying to make everyone else happy but himself. He said in pro wrestling, there are a lot of liars and politickers, but you can’t politic yourself to the top of the mountain. He said at the end of the day, all you have is your word. He said he saw a lot of bodies on his way up, but that didn’t stop him. He said he was committed to bringing the AEW flag to the top.
He talked about his uncle dying while drunk driving while he was in the car as a kid. He said he would never turn his back on anyone he considered family. Danielson asked if he’s ready for his match against Mox on Saturday. Darby said he wasn’t sure, but he told Danielson not to get involved no matter what happens. He asked Danielson to give him his word. Danielson said he would, but he wanted Darby to give him his word about something. He then whispered something to Darby. Darby said he gave him his word about whatever that was.
(6) RIHO vs. ROBIN RENEGADE
Mercedes made her entrance and joined in on commentary. The bell rang 35 minutes into the hour. Mercedes called Riho “a little girl.” Excalibur said she’s 28 years old and is a former AEW Women’s Champion. Mercedes said Riho has been wrestling since she was 7, but she doesn’t hold a camera to her. They cut to a break at 2:00. [c/db]
Riho won clean with a crucifix bomb.
WINNER: Riho in 5:00.
-Riho looked down at Mercedes after the match. Mercedes stood. Renegade held Riho. Mercedes entered and gave her a backstabber.
-A clip aired of the angle with Jerry Lynn on Collision that led to The Acclaimed reuniting. [c]
-A video package recapped The Death Riders vs. The Opps saga focused on Danny Garcia’s turn leading to a Katsuyori Shibata vs. Garcia match on the pre-show for All Out.
(7) HECHICERO & JOSH ALEXANDER (w/Don Callis) vs. TOP FLIGHT (Darius & Dante Martin) – Winner Gets the Fourth Spot in Four-way match at All Out for AEW Tag Team Titles
Don Callis walked out and interrupted ring introductions for the main event. He introduced Hechicero himself. Callis joined in on commentary. The bell rang 49 minutes into the hour. They cut to a break at 2:00. [c]
Top Flight attacked Alexander with tandem offense leading to a near fall at 9:00. Rapid-fire sequences followed. Alexander shoved Dante off the top rope. Hechicero then landed a guillotine head scissors for the win.
WINNERS: Hechicero & Alexander in 10:00.
-Afterward, the Don Callis Family surrounded Daniels. Scorpio Sky and Jet Speed ran out for the save. The Bucks ran out, too. Lance Archer kicked Daniels in the face. Danielson said AEW “should seriously consider fining Lance Archer for that after the health issues Daniels has had.” As Archer set up a chokeslam, Hangman made the save. Archer invited him to the ring. Hangman entered the ring and went after Archer. Hangman clotheslined Archer over the top rope to the floor and yelled at him.
Fletcher slid into the ring behind Hangman, but Hangman turned around. Rocky Romero held Hangman’s boots, so Fletcher attacked Hangman. Fletcher punched away at Hangman. Then he stood and rolled up his sleeves and pulled Hangman onto the ring apron. Fletcher set up a move onto a table, but Hangman escaped and then went for a Buckshot. Fletcher caught him with a shot to the head with his TNT Title belt. Fletcher then suplexed Hangman off the ring apron and brainbustered him through the table. Fans chanted, “Holy shit!” The closing image was Fletcher standing on the ring apron with both belts looking down at Hangman,
(Keller’s Analysis: I’m glad they ended the show with an angle built around the AEW Title match main event. The butter was spread pretty thin on this three-hour piece of toast otherwise in terms of building the PPV.)
