[HOUR ONE]

-They cold opened with an angry Bron Breakker walking around ringside. Michael Cole said he didn’t like the look on his face. “Look out, get out of the way!” Cole shouted to Corey Graves. Breakker tore away the lid on the announce desk. Breakker got in Graves’s face and Graves told him to do what he’s going to do. He then tipped the whole desk over and intimidated Cole. He demanded a mic from a tech at ringside.

Breakker rolled into the ring. “Adam Pearce, you want to ruin my moment in the Royal Rumble,” he said, at which point Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman ran out to calm him. Breakker blamed Pearce and said if he wanted to ruin his Rumble, then he’ll ruin this episode of Raw.

Heyman addressed the hard camera. He said this isn’t Breakker’s fault, but rather Pearce’s fault. He said they put Breakker no. 2, which he said is even worse than no. 1. He said Pearce had to approve every visa to go to Saudi Arabia, so he knows who the masked man was. Breakker said he is going to count to three and demanded he get his “sorry ass to my ring right now.”

Pearce stepped out and asked, “Aren’t you bored; aren’t you embarrassed enough?” A crowd of security guys walked out. Pearce said he didn’t draw no. 2, Breakker did. Pearce said he doesn’t know who the masked man is, but the last time they saw him, it was Theory. Breakker turned to Theory and stared at him as if this was something he hadn’t considered yet. Theory brushed if off, disarming Breakker. Pearce said he’ll give him a gift and let him keep his job “after that piss-poor performance in the Royal Rumble.” L.A. Knight’s music then played and he attacked Logan and Theory from behind with a chair as everyone was looking at the stage where Pearce and security were. Knight left through the crowd, frustrating Breakker. Breakker yelled at Heyman, “What are we doing?”

-They went to Cole and Graves who wondered if they’d have to stand for the whole show with the desk tipped over.

(Keller’s Analysis: In my Wade Keller News Bulletin earlier today – exclusive for PWTorch VIP members in PDF, All-Text, and Audio Podcast formats – I explored a lot of possibilities regarding the masked man the fate of The Vision for WrestleMania. This segment didn’t really rule in or out any of the options I explored. It was a good way to follow-up on the early elimination by Breakker, and his intensity and anger feels appropriate. I’m not sure why he’s so sure Pearce had something to do with it, but he and Heyman made a decent argument that you could see them convincing themselves of.)

-A video package of highlights aired from the Rumble.

(Keller’s Analysis: Excellent video that made the Rumble highlights feel even more exciting than watching live with some of the quick cuts with increasing speed during eliminations and big moves. They managed to find a shot of three women in the crowd and zoomed in on their reaction, since it was predominantly a male-only crowd otherwise.)

-Cole noted that Roman Reigns has to choose between the two men’s world titles and he was expected to address that in person tonight.

-They showed Liv Morgan’s arrival, Stephanie Vaquer getting make-up applied backstage, and Gunther walking in the parking lot. Then they cut to a wide shot of the crowd as Cole said 13,746 fans were in attendance.

-Je’Von Evans made his entrance. Graves said a dozen crew members were rebuilding their desk. [c]

-Cole noted Je’Von lasted 40:58 in the Rumble, making him the “Iron Man” of this year’s Rumble.

(1) EL GRANDE AMERICANO (w/El Grande Rayo, El Grande Bravo) vs. JE’VON EVANS

The bell rang 15 minutes into the hour. Americano knocked Evans through the ropes to ringside. He went after him on the floor, including a hard chop. Evans fought back. He leaped over the ringside steps after Americano whipped him toward them. They returned to the ring. Graves and Cole playfully spoke about the various identities of the El Grandes. Evans leaped over the top rope and tackled Americano. Rayo yanked on Evans’s boot. Americano dropkicked Evans’s head. He then shot him shoulder-first into the ringpost. Americano continued to attack Evans in the ring including a high backbody drop. Then they cut to a break. [c]

At 11:00, Evans stood with Americano on his back. He kicked him in the face in the corner. He then did a Coast to Coast flip kick onto his head for a two count. “Coast to Coast with style,” said Graves. Evans then climbed to the top rope. Bravo shoved Evans off balance as Rayo distracted the ref. Rayo then handed the metal plate to Americano. El Grande Original then came out. The ref discovered the metal plate and took it. Evans then landed the OG Cutter for the win.

WINNER: Evans in 13:00.

(Keller’s Analysis: Evans is being pushed well. It’s a significant push, but it doesn’t feel pushy like he’s being rushed to a top spot. His athleticism stands out for sure, as does his ebullient energy.)

-Cole plugged NXT on The CW tomorrow headlined by a seven-man ladder match to crown a new NXT Champion.

-A video package aired on “future stars” from the Rumble including, in order: Evans, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Royce Keys, Jordynne Grace, Kelani Jordan, Sol Ruca, Trick Williams, Lash Legend, and Oba Femi. [c]

-Cole congratulated “friends of WWE” Bad Bunny and Jelly Roll for their Grammy wins.

-A.J. Styles’s theme played, but instead of Styles, Gunther made his ring entrance mocking Styles’s mannerisms. He was, as usual, supremely pleased with himself. Fans chanted “You tapped out!” although it didn’t really gain a ton of volume or traction. Mostly, fans just booed him. “Just like Bill Goldberg, just like John Cena, A.J. Styles found out when you step in the ring with the Career Killer, your career and your legacy dies.” Dragon Lee ran to the ring and kicked Gunther in the head. Cole noted he was the tag partner of Styles. Graves said he refused to stand by as Gunther “disrespected Styles.” (It sounded like he was stating facts, although I suppose his tone could be construed as “disrespectful.”) Lee dove at Gunther in the time keeper’s area, but Gunther smashed him mid-air with the ring bell. Gunther then put Dragon in a sleeper. Jason Jordon sternly talked to Gunther. Gunther went back after Lee with a sleeper as several referees tried to pry him lose. Graves said he was trying to end the career of Dragon Lee also.

-They went to Cole and Graves at ringside who reacted to Lee stepping up to confront Gunther and stand up for his friend, Styles.

-A video package aired on The Vision’s feud with L.A. Knight.

-Heyman approached Pearce. Heyman asked him to book Breakker vs. Knight. Pearce said he can’t do it because he just walked Knight out of the building. He said he interrupted his show earlier. Pearce said if he knows what is best for Breakker, he should also escort him out of the arena. He said he should then tell Bronson Reed he has a match with Penta. Heyman asked if he has a clue who he’s speaking to “and in what city.” Pearce laughed at him and said, “FMFO.”(F— Around, Find Out.)

-Breakker was throwing a fit after Heyman told him he should leave. Breakker said he didn’t care and barged through some doors to go elsewhere backstage.

-The War Raiders were already in the ring after the break as their music faded. Cole said they were scheduled for a big tag match. Oba Femi then came out. Cole acted surprised. Graves said that’s not the scheduled opponents for the Raiders, but didn’t say who was. The Raiders went after Femi, but Femi beat up both of them. Cole said Femi eliminated the first five in the Rumble. Fans chanted, “Oba! Oba!” His music then played again and he left. Graves said they were expecting a tag match, but ended up with a crime scene.

-A vignette aired with Finn Balor who took issue with Pearce telling him last week the Rumble was full. He said he wants the World Title. “I don’t think I’m a bad guy, but at this stage Punk, I’m going to do bad things.”

-Cole got in some plugs for WWE podcasts.

-They showed the Bellas backstage. [c]

-Cole got in some plugs for ticket sales.

-The Bellas made their entrance. Fans booed. Nikki asked if that was because the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t make the Super Bowl. She said it’s a full-circle moment. She said the Bellas haven’t stood in the ring together in over 7 years. She said they are all on the same page happy that Brie is back. There were some “Yes!” chants and cheers.

[HOUR TWO]

Brie said she’s so happy to be back “and finally home.” She said she’s not back because Nikki was getting beat up every week and she needed her to save her. Nikki took issue and Brie said she was just kidding. Brie said they are the original tag team and they want in. She said its time for them to go for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Their music played again.

(Keller’s Analysis: Scintillating.)

-Bert Kreischer hung out with Otis and Akira Tozawa and talked about his Netflix show. Bert told Maxinne Dupri he can’t wait to see her get revenge for what Nattie did to her. Maxinne was worked up and yelled that she’s going to break her ankle. Bert took off his shirt. Cole said, “I can’t unsee that.” (There’s a lot of Michael Cole moments we can’t unsee.)

-Penta made his ring entrance. [c]

-Cole got in some plugs.

(Keller’s Analysis: This is deep into the show to have the second actual match.)

(2) PENTA vs. BRONSON REED (w/Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Paul Heyman)

The bell rang 8 minutes into the hour. A fan held up a sign saying that Logan’s energy drink tastes bad. Reed took control early. Penta made a comeback and landed a leaping flip onto Reed at ringside. He then strutted inside the ring as they cut to a break at 3:00. [c]

Back from the break, Reed was in control. Penta made a comeback with a backstabber and scored a two count. Theory stepped onto the ring apron. Penta kicked him down. Logan then stepped onto the ring apron. Penta leaped at him with a forearm, but also knocked the ref down. Penta then leaped off the top rope onto both Theory and Logan. Penta re-entered the ring as Graves said he left Reed unattended in the ring for a moment. Reed caught him and gave him the Jagged Edge and a Tsunami. The ref was still down when Reed made the cover.

Reed grabbed a chair from ringside. Knight attacked Reed from behind and gave him a BFT onto the chair. Knight fled the scene. The ref recovered and counted Reed out as Heyman protested.

WINNER: Penta via countout in 13:00.

-A video previewed Vaquer vs. Raquel.

-They showed Liv Morgan backstage. [c]

-Cole got in some plugs.

-They showed Bert Kreischer as Graves plugged “Free Bert” on Netflix in what sounds like a remake of “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

-Dominik Mysterio came out in a surprise appearance, with his two belts and chomping on gum. Graves asked Cole, “Do you have any idea the effect Dom’s facial hair has on the opposite sex; hell, the same sex, people around the world, no one can get enough Dirty Dom.” He commented on Dom’s new glasses, also.

Dom said he came to Philadelphia to introduce the 2026 Royal Rumble winner, Liv Morgan. She sprinted to the ring and leaped into Dom’s arms. A fan held up a sign that said, “Why wasn’t Kit Wilson in the Royal Rumble?” Fans chanted, “You deserve it!” Liv said, “I know, I know!” She thanked Dom for his amazing introduction and said they’re so happy to have him back. She sang that he is now in the presence of the greatest Royal Rumble winner of all time.

She said surely everyone is curious who she’ll pick to be her opponent. She said she doesn’t want to rush such a big decision, but she’ll go to Smackdown to assess her options. She said tonight she’s sure they will crown a new Women’s Champion. She asked fans to give a warm welcome to Raquel.

Raquel walked out wearing a “Big Sexy” t-shirt. She asked Liv why she eliminated her from the Rumble. Morgan said she knows she isn’t a selfish person, so since she had a title match tonight, it made sense to make sure she (Liv) won. Raquel told her “a win for one is a win for all, but tonight, stay in the back.” She said it’ll make her win all the sweeter if she does it on her own. Morgan and Dom left.

-Vaquer made her entrance. [c]

-Cole plugged tickets.

(3) STEPHANIE VAQUER vs. RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ – Philadelphia Street Fight for the Women’s Title

Formal ring introductions took place. Not much crowd reaction for either. Cole said you can only win by pinfall or submission. He and Graves agreed it benefits Raquel. Raquel dominated early after a slingshot Jackhammer. Vaquer dragged Raquel to the ring apron and dropped a knee on her chest. She then springboarded onto Raquel with a dive. She pulled a table out from under the ring after playing to the crowd. Raquel charged at her at ringside and powerbombed her through the table. [c]

Vaquer eventually battled back by striking Raquel with a kendo stick. She set up the base of the ringside steps, but Raquel hit Vaquer with the lid of the announce desk. She then tried to give her a Tejana Bomb. Vaquer blocked it. Raquel rammed Vaquer into the ringpost, though, and then threw her back into the ring and scored a two count.

Raquel wedged a chair in the corner, but it popped off just as Vaquer was reverse-whipping her toward it. Vaquer hit Raquel with a kendo stick and then suplexed her. She then went for a Devil’s Kiss, but Raquel powered her up onto her shoulders and dropped her throat-first over the top rope. Vaquer kicked Raquel a second later and scored a two count.

Raquel rolled to the floor and hit Vaquer with a garbage can. She then threw several chairs into the ring. She went for a corkscrew swing-splash out of the corner, but Vaquer moved and then delivered a Devil’s Kiss on the chairs. She rolled to ringside and did the Devil’s Kiss on the base of the ringside steps. They cut to another break. [c]

Vaquer placed a trash can over Raquel’s head and torso in the corner and then delivered double-knees for a two count. Raquel made a comeback and kicked the trash can into Vaquer’s face for a two count. Raquel pulled another table out from under the ring and slid it into the ring. She set the table up in the ring. She set up a Tejana bomb through the table, but Vaquer slipped free.

[HOUR THREE]

Liv ran to ringside with the Women’s Title belt in her hands. Raquel took it from her. Vaquer rammed Raquel into a chair wedged in the corner. Vaquer put Raquel on the table and climbed to the top rope. Roxanne Perez stood on the ring apron and went after Vaquer. Vaquer head-butted her off the ring apron through a table below. Raquel battled Vaquer on the top rope, but Vaquer got the better of her. Raquel set up a powerbomb, but Vaquer turned it into a huracanrana. Raquel crashed onto the edge of the table, which cracked. Vaquer then landed a corkscrew splash for the win.

WINNER: Vaquer in 22:00 to retain the Women’s World Title.

-Liv Morgan entered afterward and gave Vaquer an Oblivion. Then she dropped the belt onto her and left.

(Keller’s Analysis: The crowd wasn’t super into either wrestler, but did react to some of ebb and flow and big moves. This certainly pointed to the logical WrestleMania choice by Liv choosing Vaquer as her opponent.)

-Cole hyped NXT’s ladder match again.

-An Balor video aired.

-They plugged next week’s Raw featuring Nattie vs. Dupri, The Usos vs. Otis & Tozawa, and the first qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber.

-A black SUV arrived backstage and Reigns walked out. The camera followed him into the arena and through Gorilla toward the ring. [c]

-Reigns made his entrance and asked fans to acknowledge him. He talked about his history in Philadelphia. He joked that when he won his first Rumble, the response wasn’t great. As he contemplated his choice of which champ to go after, fans chanted, “C.M. Punk!” He said, “So you don’t want me to go after Drew McIntyre? Or do you prefer to C.M. Punk?” Fans cheered. Punk’s music played and he walked out.

Punk circled Reigns and then stood and crossed his arms, contemplating what will be his first true WrestleMania Main Event. “Finn Balor,” Punk said as he pivoted to the camera. He said Balor will find out very soon that he’s the baddest guy when he gets his hands on him. Reigns called out Punk for interrupting his segment to call out Balor. Punk said, “Did you say I interrupted you? That’s funny considering your a visitor on my show.” He said this is Raw, this is Netflix, and he calls the shots. He said he has a big decision to make. He said Drew’s name and fans booed. “I could listen to him get booed all day.” He suggested Roman vs. Drew at WrestleMania. Fans booed. “Or, what’s the other side of the coin? Roman Reigns versus The Best in the World C.M. Punk.”

He got more crowd reaction, then said everyone is in agreement and the choice is clear. Punk told Reigns he knows he is going to “take the easy way out” and pick Drew. Reigns said he doesn’t like the guy, but Drew’s hardly the easy way out. “Phil, I don’t know if you realize this, but Drew is like four times bigger than you.” He said the last time they fought, “he had you crying over a little plastic bracelet.” He pointed to it on his wrist. Punk said they ran out of staples putting Drew back together after he was done with him. Punk said he beat him in Hell in a Cell and put him in the dirt.

Reigns said he beat Drew for three straight years. Punk said, “Yeah, you and how many of your cousins?” Reigns said he should watch how he talks about his family. “We’re the only reason this place is where it’s at and we’re the only reason you had a show and a company to come back to; don’t you ever forget that.” Punk said, “You really believe that, huh?” He said he manipulated his cousins and others into believing he did something other than hold WWE hostage. Fans chanted, “OTC!” He said he heard him on The Pat McAfee Show frame his quarterly vacations as him graciously stepping away so others can rise up, but no one has yet.

Punk said many moons ago he was champion for over 400 days. He said Reigns followed in his footsteps as a Paul Heyman Guy. He said he was champion for over 1,300 days. “Just because you did it longer doesn’t mean you did it better.” Reigns glared at Punk. Punk said he’s a bona fide Superstar and he has earned his chance to call his shot. He said he’s not upset with him. “You choose to be a part timer, and I choose to go to ten countries in three weeks; I choose to go see all the fans nationwide, worldwide.”

He said he chose to bring Reigns into the company along with the rest of The Shield, and Reigns chose to follow in his footsteps. “You learned from the best,” he said. “I’m proud of you.” He said he has the easy way which is a guy he thinks he can beat and the other is a guy he knows he can’t beat because he’s The Best in the World. He said he can choose the man who has made the World Title mean what it does in his absence.

Reigns said, “Let me get one thing straight.” He said he’s making all the towns because he took a ten year vacation. “And the second thing – I learned from you?” he said. “The only thing I learned from you is what not to do.” He called him Phil again and said he wouldn’t be there if not for him because they came to him and asked him about bringing him back. He said he will never forget that ten years ago he went on his friend’s podcast “and made my life harder than it ever should have been.” He said he then came back and took his Wiseman and his cousins and almost brainwashed him. He said he shook his hand and looks at him like a man, but then he mocked him as he walked back up the ramp “as if I’m some young boy.” He said he has made his choice. He said he could pick him because he’s the biggest star available or because he’s on Netflix and the best show, but he’s picking him “because I hate you and I’ve always hated you.” He said WrestleMania will be the best night of his life because Punk will acknowledge him. He threw down the mic. Cole said, “That was a pipe bomb. The main event – the Tribal Chief and The Best in the World in the main event of WrestleMania.” Reigns then walked to the back.

(Keller’s Analysis: Excellent work from both in that segment!)
