SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE has released preliminary PPV buy figures for the Hell in a Cell PPV in October, which featured the blow-off match to The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar feud.

The prelim figure is 87,000 PPV buys, up from 77,000 for Night of Champions.

The majority of the total is from international sources. For HIAC, WWE reported 64,000 international buys (74 percent) and 23,000 domestic buys (26 percent).

This is consistent with an average of 62,000 international and 31,000 domestic buys in the Third Quarter.

WWE went heavy on Network advertising in October trying to draw subscriptions for Brock-Taker. WWE also went heavy on Taker-related content in November for Survivor Series as WWE looks to boost the Fourth Quarter and year-end subscriber totals.
