WWE Raw TV News & Notes 10/12

– John Cena successfully defended the U.S. Title against Dolph Ziggler in the top match of the show.

– WWE did not make a big deal about next week’s Legends Raw. Before the final segment, WWE briefly noted that Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair are scheduled to appear on Raw with Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker.

To promote Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell, WWE aired a video package documenting the recent history.

– WWE World Hvt. champion Seth Rollins lost again on TV, this time in a non-title lumberjack match against Big Red Kane.

This followed a show-long bit where The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) were unable to make Raw, so they put Corporate Kane in-charge of the show. They eventually forbid Corporate Kane from facing Rollins in the main event, so he found a “suitable replacement” in the form of Big Red Kane.

– WWE switched gears on the Rusev/Lana/Summer Rae storyline by incorporating Rusev and Lana’s reported engagement into TV.

After Rusev lost to Ryback, Summer Rae ditched Rusev, who TMZ reported over the weekend is engaged to Lana. Lana is currently off TV with a wrist injury.
