WWE announces 19 signings – indie stars, Tough Enough, more

WWE has announced their latest “recruiting class” for the NXT brand and Performance Center training facility. Some talent signed earlier this year and others are more recent, but WWE is lumping together the following 19 signings.

– Tough Enough crew: Tough Enough winners Sara Lee and Josh Bredl headline the signing class along with independent wrestler Patrick Clark, Egyptian national Mada Abdelhamid, MMA fighter Daria Berenato, new Total Divas cast member Amanda Saccomano, and alligator wrestler Z.Z. (7/19)

– Top Independent wrestlers: Biff Busick (Christopher Girard), whose background includes PWG, DGUSA, Beyond Wrestling, and numerous other promotions. Rich Swann, whose background includes DGUSA/EVOLVE, CZW, and European promotions. Athena (Adrienne Reese), who was trained with Booker T’s PWA promotion before advancing to Shimmer and ROH. (3/19)

– International signings: Christopher Atkins, an Australian former bodybuilder. Cezar Bononi, a Brazilian wrestler and footballer. Adrian Jaoude, a Lebanese world-class amateur wrestler. Gzim Selmani, a Dutch kickboxing champion with background in Bellator MMA. (4/19)

– Various U.S. signings: Gabriel & Uriel Ealy, identical twin brothers from Milwaukee who trained at MIAW Wrestling. Dallas Harper, a former basketball star who trained with Anarchy Wrestling and A.S.W.A. wrestling. Daniel Matha, a former college football lineman at Pitt. Eddie Orengo, a referee who worked on the Northeast independent scene. (5/19)

  1. Dallas Harper was trained at the ASWA school, not anarchy. He only worked at anarchy for ONE show. He worked mainly in the ASWA and Mid Ohio Wrestling. The torch should get their facts straight.
