SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Sonjay Dutt spent nearly ten years in TNA through multiple stints with the company, but never captured the X Division Title.

On Saturday, Dutt captured Global Force Wrestling’s equivalent title, the Nex-Gen Title, at the WrestleCade event Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Dutt captured the title from the first Gen-Next champion, P.J. Black (formerly Justin Gabriel) in the first-ever champion vs. challenger title match in GFW history.

Dutt’s title victory was one of the highlights of WrestleCade’s “Showcase of Champions” event featuring multiple promotions.

The annual event continues Saturday with the main WrestleCade show featuring GFW owner/TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett facing Matt Hardy for the WrestleCade Title.
