After years of waiting, WWE has decided to induct Michael P.S. Hayes and the Fabulous Freebirds group into the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE officially announced Hayes’s group for the 2016 HOF ceremony in Dallas, where the Freebirds broke out in the 1980s antagonizing the Von Erichs in World Class Championship Wrestling.

Two of the four Freebirds are still alive – Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin. Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy died in 2001 and Buddy Roberts died in 2012.
