SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The first trailer is out for WWE’s forthcoming Scott Hall DVD via WrestlingDVDNetwork.com.

Based on the trailer, the content is not just a happy-fun time WWE story of Hall’s redemption and the miracle of still being alive. The trailer dives deep into Hall’s struggles before wrestling, during his career, and more recently after his career.

Included is footage of Hall’s infamous appearance for Top Rope Promotions five years ago in April 2011 when he hit rock-bottom.

The trailer goes forward to show Diamond Dallas Page and Jake Roberts reaching out to Hall trying to help him stay alive.

Three years later, Hall was inducted into the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class with Jake, which the trailer highlights.

There are also soundbytes from key figures Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff, Page, and Triple H. Plus, clips of Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, and modern-era Hall talking for the documentary.

McMahon’s out-of-context soundbyte was admitting to making a mistake with Hall at some point. Also, Eric Bischoff said he’s not proud of exploiting Hall’s substance issues in WCW.

“Scott Hall: Living on a Razor’s Edge” is due out July 5.
