SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

C.M. Punk’s debut UFC fight is tentatively planned for “late summer,” according to his likely opponent Mickey Gall.

Gall posted an Instagram update that he has not been told what the official date is, but he is actively training to fight Punk.

“I hear I’m fighting Punk late summer. No official date yet I’ll let u know when I know,” Gall captioned a photo from a sparring session training in New Jersey.

Punk has battled through multiple injuries during his official MMA training trying to make it inside the octagon to have his first UFC fight.

Punk has also kept quiet about his training on social media. Over the past week, he’s tweeted out notices on his “Drax” comic book writing, being happy since leaving WWE, and friends whose music has “kept me going through hard times.”
