Update: The fundraiser for U.S. Senator John McCain hosted by the McMahons has been postponed.

Linda McMahon announced that Thursday night’s fundraiser hosted by herself and Vince McMahon was postponed due to “Senator McCain unavoidably detained in D.C. on legislative business.”

The McMahons were scheduled to host the event at their home in Greenwich, Conn. along with other politically-involved people. McCain is running for re-election in his home state of Arizona.

Vince and Linda McMahon are digging deeper into the political world during the 2016 campaign season.

The McMahons are hosting a fundraiser for Arizona senator John McCain at their Greenwich, Conn. estate in early June, reports the Hartford Courant.

The McMahons are linking arms with other Republican Party power-brokers looking to help former Presidential candidate McCain with his 2016 re-election campaign in Arizona.

The Courant noted that McCain campaigned for Linda McMahon in 2012 when Linda unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in Connecticut.

McCain also appeared on WWE TV in April 2008 when he was ran for president against current U.S. president Barack Obama and returning candidate Hillary Clinton.

Flash-forward eight years to Clinton likely running opposite WWE celebrity Hall of Famer Donald Trump. As reported earlier this year, the McMahons are the top individual donors to Trump’s foundation.
