U.S. Title match set for Fourth of July Raw

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Appropriately, the U.S. Title will be defended on Monday’s “Fourth of July” edition of WWE Raw.

It will be Rusev vs. Titus O’Neil in a patriotic battle for the title.

WWE set up the match on Thursday’s Smackdown. First, Rusev retained the title against Cesaro, who won a #1 contender match earlier in the show. Then, Titus was named the challenger to Rusev on Raw.

O’Neil was unsuccessful challenging Rusev for the U.S. Title at the Money in the Bank PPV on Father’s Day, but he’s in-line for a re-match after getting a non-title count-out victory over Rusev on this week’s Raw.
