7/17 “Ballers” Season Premiere viewership – The Rock’s HBO series down from Season 1

Season 2 of HBO’s “Ballers” series starring “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson started very slow compared to Season 1 in Summer 2015.

“Ballers” TV Viewership Tracking

July 17: Ballers drew 1.585 million viewers on Sunday night, reports TVBytheNumbers.com. This was down 27 percent (about 577,000 viewers) from the Season 1 premiere of 2.162 million viewers.

In the key demographics, Ballers scored a 0.8 adults 18-49 TV rating, down from a 1.1 for the Season 1 premiere episode.

Among cable TV programming on Sunday night, Ballers ranked #3 in the a18-49 demo, but ranked out of the Top 10 in terms of total viewers compared to other shows on basic cable.

  • 6:30 p.m.: “Straight Outta Compton” movie – 1.007 million viewers
  • 9:30 p.m.: “The Night Of” – 1.276 million viewers
  • 10:01 p.m.: Break leading into Ballers – 1.605 million viewers
  • 10:04 p.m.: Ballers – 1.585 million viewers
  • 10:31 p.m.: Vice Principals – 1.154 million viewers
