SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Concerning the Clash of Champions PPV, WWE entered Raw TV with a Universal Title match of Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins and a Women’s Title match of Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks.

The result? Both title matches stayed the same despite matches that could have resulted in new title challengers.

Roman Reigns will not be added to the Owens-Rollins Universal Title match after Owens beat Reigns in the TV main event. The match initially ended with Owens winning by DQ when Rollins interfered. Then, after a restart, U.S. champion Rusev showed up to distract Reigns, allowing Owens to pin Reigns.

So, it will be Owens vs. Rollins for the Universal Title and likely Rusev vs. Reigns for the U.S. Title at the Clash PPV in two weeks.

Concerning the Women’s Title match, Sasha Banks retained her spot opposite Charlotte at the Clash PPV. Sasha beat Bayley and Dana Brooke in an impromptu contendership match.

Unrelated to the title matches, WWE also announced Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn for the Clash PPV.

This was set up by a Highlight Reel segment where Jericho attacked Zayn with a cell phone.
