SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-Daniel Bryan has released a video in support of a Massachusetts ballot measure to protect farm animals from cruelty and shield consumers from unsafe food. He is encouraging people to vote “Yes! Yes! Yes!” on the measure. VIDEO CLIP

-WWE will be taping the 14th Tribute to the Troops in Washington D.C. at Verizon Center on Dec. 13 at the regular Smackdown tapings. Says WWE’s press release: “WWE Superstars will spend time with members of all five branches of the military. WWE began Tribute to the Troops in 2003 as a way to honor our servicemen and women and their families. Tribute to the Troops will air on Wednesday, December 14 on USA Network.” This is the first time the Tribute to the Troops event won’t be a separate taping, but will be part of a regular TV taping. “We are so excited to partner with WWE on Tribute to the Troops, an event that truly has become a holiday tradition for our service members and their families,” said Elaine Rogers, President and CEO of USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore. “What better way to thank our active duty military members and their families for their service than by providing them with an amazing evening of fun and entertainment.”

-Darren Young and Bob Backlund haven’t been on Raw for a while, but they are still a duo. At last night’s Superstars taping before Raw went on the air live, Young (w/Backlund) beat Jinder Mahal. Mahal hasn’t been seen on Raw since he was inexplicably booked to pin Jack Swagger the day before Swagger debuted on Smackdown as Smackdown’s “hot free agent signing.” Also at last night’s Superstars taping, The Shining Stars won a squash.
