[JD’s Reax: Something I’ve noticed lately especially during Ultima Lucha is everything feels so rushed. WWE is criticized for having segments go on for too long while in LU things are often cut way too short. There was hardly any celebration after this match for a big title change. Shortly after the pinfall, Striker was already onto promoting the next match instead of letting the moment soak in. They should have been telling the audience about how this was a big moment instead it felt very rushed because they try to cram way too much for these Ultima Lucha shows.]

Announcers: Striker and Vampiro ran down what will be happening next week on the 2-hour conclusion of Ultima Lucha Tres:

(a.) El Dragon Azteca, Jr. vs. Matanza Cueto – Steel Cage match

(3) SON OF HAVOC vs. PENTAGON DARK – Gift of the Gods Championship ladder match

Pentagon and Havoc talked trash to each other in the middle of the ring. Havoc hit a kick then Pentagon rolled to the outside. Pentagon rolled to the outside then Havoc leaped on top of him. They brawled at ringside then Havoc brought a ladder into the ring. Pentagon knocked the ladder into Havoc. He then brought several more ladders into the ring. Havoc fought back against Pentagon then exited the ring to grab a chair. Havoc beat on Pentagon. Havoc wedged a ladder between Pentagon’s legs and hit him with a chair. Havoc started to climb the ladder until Pentagon hit him with a chair. Pentagon grabbed a table from from under the ring. Pentagon set Havoc on the table. Havoc jumped off the table and onto a ladder in the corner. Havoc drove Pentagon through the table. Havoc then set a ladder on top of Pentagon then climbed the turnbuckle. Pentagon caught Havoc mid shooting star press for a diamond cutter.

Havoc rolled to the outside. Pentagon charged at him and Havoc hit him in the head with the chair. Havoc set up some chairs in the ring. Pentagon countered Havoc and hit a package piledriver onto the steel chairs. Pentagon grabbed yet another table and set it up in the ring. Pentagon climbed up the ladder, but Havoc caught Pentagon’s leg. Pentagon then knocked Havoc off the ladder and through the table to grab the belt.

WINNER: Pentagon Dark at 14:00 to become the new Gift of the Gods Champion.

Backstage: Vampiro told Puma that next week everything all comes to an end. He said theses are the last steps of their journey. He said he will take his title then the circle is complete. Puma said he understands then left. Vampiro kneeled in a circle and said thank you… master.

FINAL THOUGHTS: “I want to see a fight. Who cares about wrestling?” The words of Vampiro during the main event. Often times this feels like the mentality of Lucha Underground with stunt match after stunt match. Just on Ultima Lucha alone, how many wrestlers have gone through tables? How many have had their faces busted open? There’s a reason other wrestling shows don’t do these things all the time. Every time you do it, the next time is less meaningful unless you “raise the bar”. The wrestlers are pushed to do stunts that get more and more dangerous because the fans are used to seeing blood and wrestlers falling high distances through tables. They have such a talented roster that it is a shame that LU has made their identity violent match after violent match. Seeing Dante Fox’s back makes you wonder is it worth it? Wrestlers have bump card and when you’re doing dangerous stunts all the time, those wrestler’s careers are going to be cut short.
