ANNOUNCED BY NXT…

  • Adam Cole takes on Roderick Strong
  • Kairi Sane takes on one half of the “Dynamic Duo” in Billie Kay

“A GAME OF WAR”

The end of times is nigh. Last week during the tag-title rematch between the Authors of Pain and SANITY the Undisputed ERA once again decided to take matters into their own hands, interfering in the matchup and costing Akam and Rezar an opportunity to reclaim their gold. This brought out Roderick Strong who had appeared to join forces with his former Ring of Honor posse wearing the armband that they had given him on a previous episode.

That was until Roddy attacked Adam Cole and company and stood tall next to Paul Ellering’s boys with SANITY watching from the sidelines. William Regal would then take control of the situation, and announced that all three teams would be clashing at Takeover Houston in a match that hadn’t been seen in nearly 20 years: WARGAMES. As for this evening, Adam Cole will get a chance to repay the favor to Strong as they go one on one, but if history is accurate, this will turn into another massive brawl.

“STICK THAT IN YOUR PIPE”

If you had wondered whether Andrade Cien Almas was ready for an NXT Title match, you can put that fear at ease. The man is as focused as he’s ever been, and with his valet Zelina Vega in his corner he may be his most dangerous. After weeks of animosity has build up between Almas and champion Drew McIntyre the two were finally set to go face to face for a contract signing. (We all know how those end.) However, in a shocking twist, Almas attacked Drew when he was on his way to the ring, signed the contract, and then stuck it to the Scotsman’s chest with the gum Zelina was chewing. Knowing McIntyre, he’ll likely not retaliate, but that means he’s probably preparing to Claymore Cien’s head right off his little body on Nov. 18.

“FEAR THE BOW”

With the Fatal Four-way for the vacant NXT Women’s Title all set, the challengers prepare for their Takeover bout with some warm up matches. Last week Nikki Cross destroyed Taynara Conti after the latter had been stalking Nikki thanks to whispers from the Undisputed. Tonight Mae Young Classic winner Kairi Sane will be in action facing Peyton Royce’s besty Billie Kay. Royce will most likely be at ringside to support her friend, and probably scout out that INSANE elbow drop that has given the Asian Pirate a number of victories. Meanwhile, Ember Moon prepares for Mercedes Martinez, who had some not very nice things to say about the master of the Eclipse during her last interview.

“SCREAM FOR ME”

-Aleister Black and Velveteen Dream are official for Takeover Houston. Will either man try to gain an advantage before they clash next week?

-The Street Profits were enjoying some of the Florida sun before they got yelled at by Tino Sabatelli and Riddick Moss for checking our their car. Something tells me these two teams will most likely meet in the ring to settle their differences, most likely for Houston’s pre-show.

-Recently added to the card for the 18th was Johnny Gargano as he attempts to climb his way out of a slump. His opponent, United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne who recently made his Raw debut in Manchester slapping that punk Enzo Amore right in the kisser. Even better, this matchup will be for Dunne’s prestigious U.K. Championship, in what should be a fantastic matchup… if it’s on the main card. As of right now… it’s not. (Sad face.)

Two more shows until Wargames. Getting excited?
