SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Jim Neidhart, one half of the Hart Foundation, is dead at age 63. Neidhart fell and hit his head early this morning. The Psco County (Fla.) Sheriff’s office told TMZ that he was having seizure and convulsions.

Neidhart is the father of current WWE wrestler Natalya.

Neidhart’s greatest fame in pro wrestling came while teaming with Bret Hart and managed by Jimmy Hart in the 1980s during a glory period of WWF tag team wrestling, feuding with The British Bulldogs, The Killer Bees, and The Rockers among other teams. They beat The Bulldogs to become WWF Tag Team Champions in 1987. They lost the tag titles later that year to Strike Force (Rick Martel & Tito Santana). They held the tag team titles a second time in 1990.

Neidhart was also part of the pro-Canada, anti-USA “heel faction” also called The Hart Foundation in 1997, which included Bret Hart, Owen Hart, and Brian Pillman.

Neidhart’s key trait was a goatee along with signature facial expressions and laugh.
