NJPW News: KUSHIDA set to face Tanahashi in final match in NJPW, Owens signs first contract with company

-NJPW has announced that KUSHIDA will face IWGP World Hvt. Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi in his last match before he leaves NJPW. KUSHIDA is expected to sign with WWE when his contract with NJPW expires at the end of this month. The match will be a non-title match and will take place at The Road To New Beginning event on Jan. 29 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

-Chase Owens has signed a contract with NJPW. Owens has wrestled regularly in NJPW in recent years without a contract. He is current part of the new Bullet Club stable led by Tama Tonga. Owens announced his signing on his Twitter page. NJPW has been giving out contracts that extend beyond one year recently, but PWTorch has been unable to confirm how long of a deal Owens signed with the company. PWTorch has confirmed with multiple sources that there was no interest in Owens from WWE or AEW.
