WWE News: Ashley Massaro dead at 39, cause of death unknown

Former WWE wrestler Ashley Massaro died today at age 39. According to authorities, Massaro was transported to the hospital early this morning and died later in the morning. According to a report by TMZ,authorities are considering her death non-criminal. No cause of death has been released.

Massaro won the “2005 Raw Diva Search” and wrestled in WWE from 2005-2008. Massaro appeared in Playboy in 2007. She also appeared on “Survivor: China” in 2007. She was best known for managing Brian Kendrick & Paul London during her tenure in WWE. When Massaro left the company in 2008, she claimed to have asked for her release to take care of her sick child. Massaro returned to wrestling when she faced Jillian Hall in Zero One USA in September 2017.

WWE issued the following statement regarding Massaro’s death:

“We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends.”
