SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

-The Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio match was supposed to go longer, but the bloodied nose of Samoa Joe looked severe enough the call was made to cut the match short and go right to the finish.

-Lars Sullivan bled from his forehead due to a Kalisto elbow that made contact with his head. It wasn’t from the Lars headbutt.

-Ric Flair won’t make the scheduled “roast” this weekend at Starrcast II, according to TMZ. He was scheduled for surgery this week, but was rushed to the hospital earlier than planned and is “not out of the woods yet,” according to TMZ.

-Brock Lesnar has long been scheduled to be at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia on June 7. By winning the Money in the Bank match last night, he could announce on Raw tonight that he is cashing in and going to try to take back the Universal Title from Seth Rollins. If it’s still Lesnar’s last contractual match on his current deal, he’d lose. If he has since renewed, it’s possible he won’t win the title, of course. If he has renewed his contract for more dates, then it’s also possible Lesnar won’t cash in yet, but will wrestle someone else at Super Showdown. Corey Graves mentioned last night when WWE announced several Super Showdown matches that another match would be announced on Raw tonight. Presumably they didn’t announce that match because it involved Lesnar and they needed Lesnar’s appearance to be a surprise and the resulting match to be a follow-up to what happened at the end of the PPV.
