Thank you, Brody!

Imagine all the subs a streaming service would get for having BOLA live.

Now someone has to catch Shane off of the top rope onto the floor.

•Closing Commentary

It’s been a pretty slow news week in ROH. I want to again talk about the out of line “timeline” of ROH.

If you follow ROH even remotely closely, you read TV taping spoilers. When I read that Matt Taven beat Tracey Williams to retain the ROH title, I thought, “cool; that’s a good opportunity for Williams to shine.”

However, when I noticed that this match was not on TV before the Best in the World PPV, it was a huge red flag. Yes, was it unlikely that ROH would make a correct move and put the title on Jeff Cobb? Was it also unlikely that they would have Cobb become champion right before he goes to Japan for the next month?

All of that is true. But, when I realized this week’s TV match was in the can, I knew with 100% certainty that Taven was going over. To be 100% honest, if I did not cover ROH for the Torch, I would have not purchased the PPV knowing the outcome of the main event.

Even if that is one $35 purchase that was lost, why not have the Taven and Williams match a week or two before the PPV? Is it crazy to have an ROH champion on TV in a match before a PPV?
