SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

WWE has announced on their website that the first two episodes of NXT on USA Network will be one hour, but a second hour will air on WWE Network. After the Sept. 18 and 25 episodes, the entire two hour live NXT episode will air on USA Network, and then 24 hours later available in its entirety on WWE Network.

They’ve announced Velveteen Dream vs. Roderick Strong with the North American Title on the line as a featured match on the Sept. 18 telecast, plus Bianca Belair, Io Shirai, and Mia Yim battling to earn the next shot at the NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. No word on whether those matches in particular will be on USA, WWE Network, or perhaps start on one and finish on the other.

The decision could lead to some new Network subscribers, but also perhaps confuse some viewers about the format after the first two weeks are up.
