Here’s what currently advertised for tonight’s show.

Matches and Segments announced for the show

What will be the fallout of NXT’s Raw and Smackdown takeovers?

NXT sent shockwaves as NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Bianca BeLair, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox and Tommaso Ciampa all made their presence felt by destroying the superstars of Smackdown. NXT Champion Adam Cole made the biggest statement by defeating former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. NXT wasn’t done there as Triple H tried to convince Seth Rollins to join his side in the war against Raw and SmackDown. The former Universal Champion refused Triple H’s assistance as Raw ended in a chaotic brawl. The question is will Raw and SmackDown respond to NXT’s attack?

(Amin’s Analysis: WWE did an awesome job putting over the NXT stars as huge superstars on SmackDown. But I’m not getting too excited yet as WWE hasn’t done a great job when NXT stars were called up to the main roster. I’m interested to see how this plays out as the goal should be elevate NXT as WWE’s official third brand by having they come out on top at Survivor Series)

Will Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley add to their WarGames squads?

Following a melee after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, NXT General Manager William Regal announced the first-ever Women’s WarGames match. It was announced later that Baszler and Ripley will captain their respective teams. The question is who will join Baszler and Ripley and take part in this historic match?

(Amin’s Analysis: I’m most excited and looking forward to seeing this match at TakeOver: WarGames as the build up has been really good. It will be interesting to see who join’s Baszler’s and Ripley’s team. If it’s a 4-on-4 match, I’m gonna guess the teams are Baszler-Shirai-BeLair-Duke vs. Ripley-Nox-Kai-LeRae)

Pete Dunne set for rematch with Damian Priest

In their first encounter Damian Priest used an underhanded tactic to pick up a victory over Pete Dunne in his biggest NXT win to date. Dunne hasn’t forgotten about their first encounter as the BrusierWeight will look to even the score tonight on NXT. The question will Dunne fall to the Archer of Infamy again?

(Amin’s Analysis: I expect Dunne and Priest to have another good match. My hunch is Priest will find away to pick up another win and could come from the help of Killian Dain as they could be setting up a tag promo with Tyler Bate after last week’s show)

How will Tommaso Ciampa’s war continue?

After coming to aid of Keith Lee and Matt Riddle last week, Ciampa declared he’s going to war against the Undisputed ERA while putting his quest to once again become NXT Champion on hold. Ciampa also played a big part of the NXT Invasion as he picked up a victory over former WWE Champion The Miz on last Friday on SmackDown. The question is will Ciampa explain what he has planned tonight on NXT?

(Amin’s Analysis: This looks to be clearly leading to a second WarGames match with Undisputed ERA against team of Ciampa/Lee/Riddle and maybe Dijakovic?

The Big Takeaway from last week’s show

The first-ever Women’s WarGames match was announced with NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley will captain their respective teams. Tommaso Ciampa put his quest for Goldie on hold as has decided to wage war against the Undisputed ERA. Finn Balor issued a warning to Johnny Gargano and noted he will turn “Johnny Wrestling into “Johnny Watches Wrestling” My highlight of the show was seeing my favourite wrestler Io Shirai getting a special live entrance from Poppy and was positioned as the biggest star on the show.

Final Thoughts

The next couple of week’s leading into both WarGames and Survivor Series will be very interesting to see how NXT plays a factor on both Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. It will also be interesting if viewers from Raw and Smackdown will now tune into NXT after the fallout from both shows.
