Final Thoughts

What I’m excited for: Two things, actually. Britt Baker vs Nyla Rose and Lance Archer vs. Rey Fenix. Baker and Rose are my two favorite women on the roster and while I don’t expect this to be a technical masterpiece, I think we’re in for a fun match. Archer and Fenix excite me because they are both so interesting and athletic, but in completely different ways and I think they’ll both shine here.

What I’m Confused About: Paul Wight, f/k/a The Big Show. I want to be very clear, I like Paul a lot. One of the favorite matches I’ve seen was a Seattle Street Fight between him and Daniel Bryan years ago. At first, when I saw the news, I was like “Oh cool, he’s doing commentary on the new developmental show! His decades of experience will be a huge boon to the young talent!” But everything I’ve read about the signing has gone out of it’s way to let us know that he will also be wrestling. My hope is that his in-ring appearances happen on a very limited basis.

What I’m dreading: Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford and Miro sit down for an interview with Tony Schiavone. I just don’t see this group going in a direction that interests me. This is the only storyline on the show less compelling than Cody vs. Shaq.
