SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

A.J. Styles will return to WWE Monday Night Raw this week ahead of his showdown with Edge at WrestleMania 38. Styles has been out of action since Edge took him out with a series of vicious chair strikes three weeks ago. This is the first appearance for Styles since the attack.

Edge requested that someone in the locker room stand up and face him at WrestleMania this year. Styles answered the call to a large reaction from the audience. Styles faced off with Edge in the ring, but was then attacked by Edge. The following week, Edge addressed his actions and said it felt good to feel that side of himself again. Since the attack, Edge has sported a new, but darker presentation with updated entrance music. Since returning to the WWE in 2020, Edge has faced Randy Orton and both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania.

Styles has wrestled a variety of opponents since making his debut in 2016. Styles has faced Chris Jericho, Shane McMahon, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, and The New Day in a tag team match with Omos.

WrestleMania 38 takes place on April 2 and 3 from Dallas, Texas. Edge vs. Styles will take place on night two. Other matches across the weekend include Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar for the Undisputed World Championship, Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship, Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on the KO Show with Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre vs. Baron Corbin, and more.
