C.M. Punk will make his first appearance AEW appearance since his Dog Collar Match victory at AEW Revolution this week on Dynamite. Tony Khan announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon that Punk would face Dax Harwood in his return match.

Khan confirmed that the match would kickoff the show week. Punk is coming off a multiple month feud in MJF. He lost to MJF in their first encounter in February, but was victorious on PPV. After the match, Punk celebrated and indicated he wanted to go after the world title. Dax Harwood remains part of FTR with Cash Wheeler. FTR was not on the Revolution PPV card and fired their longtime manager, Tully Blanchard, right after the event. FTR are former AEW World Tag Team Champions and have also been tag champions in NXT and WWE. FTR is scheduled to face The Briscoes in a dream match at the ROH Supercard of Honor event on April 1. The event is Ring of Honor’s first since a self-imposed hiatus at the end of 2021. Tony Khan purchased ROH at the beginning of March and will serve as the head booker for the promotion moving forward.

In addition to Punk vs. Harwood, this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will feature Jay Lethal vs. Adam Cole, Red Velvet vs. Leyla Hirsch, words from MJF after beating up Wardlow last week, Darby Allin & Sting & The Hardy’s vs. AFO, Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia vs. Dark Order, and more.
