The WWE Raw Tag Team Championships and the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships will be unified at WrestleMania Backlash.

On this week’s episode of Smackdown, RK-Bro confronted The Usos to accept the challenge that was laid out on this week’s Monday Night Raw. During the show, The Usos appeared and demanded a unification match with Randy Orton and Riddle. The Usos would go on to defeat The Street Profits in the show’s main event. In the Smackdown main event, Riddle defeated Jimmy Uso in singles action. The match featured distraction from both Randy Orton and Jey Uso around the ringside area. Riddle won the match with an RKO at the nine minute mark.

RK-Bro won the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38 over Alpha Academy and The Street Profits in a triple threat match. The Usos won the tag titles from The Mysterios at the 2021 Money in the Bank event. They’ve been the champions since then. This is their seventh title reign as a team. Randy Orton & Riddle have held the tag titles just one other time.

WrestleMania Backlash will air live on Peacock on Sunday May 8. Announced matches include Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair in an “I Quit” Match and Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins in a rematch from WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns unified the world championships by beating Brock Lesnar in the main event of night two.
