SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Jonathan Gresham has signed with AEW.

Fightful Select is reporting that Gresham did sign a contract with AEW, but would also be working on the Ring of Honor brand as well as the ROH World Champion. Gresham won the ROH world title at the Ring of Honor Final Battle PPV event in a match against Jay Lethal. Final Battle was the last PPV event for ROH before being purchased by AEW President, Tony Khan, in March of this year.

Gresham defended the ROH World Championship successfully at the ROH Supercard of Honor event over WrestleMania weekend. This was the first ROH event under Tony Khan’s rule as owner and booker of the company.

In 2022 Jonathan Gresham started his own independent wrestling promotion called Terminus. The promotion is based on pure wrestling and had two shows earlier in the year. In addition to his work with ROH, Gresham has also performed for GCW, Progress, and Impact Wrestling. At Impact’s Rebellion PPV next week, Gresham is scheduled to face Eddie Edwards.

Gresham will defend his ROH World Championship at AEW Battle of the Belts 2 on Saturday night. This will be his first ever match in AEW.
