“Hangman” Adam Page has COVID-19. The AEW World Champion announced the news on Twitter Wednesday morning.

“Dynomite is tonight at 8pm on TBS, but I will not be on there because my face is full of COVID snot,” Page wrote. “Sorry. Please enjoy regardless.”

Page was not promoted to appear in a match or segment on Dynamite this week. The show is loaded and will feature Sammy Guevara vs. Scorpio Sky in a Ladder Match for the TNT Championship, Hikaru Shida vs. Serena Deeb in a Philly Street Fight, Cash Wheeler vs. Dax Harwood in an Owen Hart Tournament qualifying match with C.M. Punk as special guest commentator, Lance Archer vs. Wardlow, and a 10-man tag team match between Undisputed Elite and the team of Varsity Blonds & Dante Martin & Lee Johnson & Brock Anderson.

Adam Page has been AEW World Champion since the Full Gear PPV event in November of last year. He recently defeated Adam Cole in a Texas Deathmatch two weeks ago on AEW Rampage. Last week, Page and C.M. Punk crossed paths on the entrance ramp after Punk defeated Dustin Rhodes. Punk is the number one ranked wrestler in AEW and is likely in line for a title match against Page soon.
