Final Result of NOAH’s Global Tag League tournament

The pairing of NOAH ace Naomichi Marufuji and New Japan goofball Toru Yano won the Global Tag League Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan.

Marufuji & Yano beat reigning GHC Hvt. tag champions Lance Hoyt/Archer & Davey Boy, Smith, Jr. in the final match of the two-week tournament.

Hoyt & Archer won the “regular season” portion of the tournament and Marufuji & Yano won a tiebreaker for second place to face the champs in the tournament finals.

Wednesday’s show also featured Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima victorious on the final night of the tour, Shelton Benjamin and the SuzukiGun stable in action, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru retaining the GHC Jr. Hvt. Title in the semi-main event.
