ROH announces Top Prospect tourney

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Ring of Honor announced Wednesday the first entrant in their annual “Top Prospect Tournament,” which will kick off on the first show of 2016 on January 9 in Concord/Charlotte, N.C.

The first entrant is Ben “Action” Ortiz, a former MMA fighter who weighs 330 pounds. ROH is equating him physically to Bam Bam Bigelow, Samoa Joe, or Takeshi Morishima.

The winner of the tournament receives an ROH contract to become a regular part of ROH shows.
