PWTorch Report – What will ROH’s roster look like after Final Battle when contracts expire?

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Ring of Honor’s roster will be very interesting after the “Final Battle” PPV in December.

PWTorch has learned that several ROH contracts are due at the end of December, making them free agents in January.

It will be interesting to see which wrestlers re-sign with the company. The list of wrestlers whose contracts expire at the end of December include:

  • ROH World champion Jay Lethal
  • Adam Cole
  • Matt Jackson (Young Bucks)
  • Nick Jackson (Young Bucks)
  • Kyle O’Reilly (ReDragon)
  • Bobby Fish (ReDragon)

PWTorch has also learned that rising star Donovan Dijak’s contract is due in September. It remains to be seen if he re-signs.

Wrestlers who left ROH in recent weeks include Moose, Roderick Strong, and Cedric Alexander to TNA, WWNLive, and WWE’s Cruiserweight tournament, respectively.

Generally-speaking, the ROH locker room has become frustrated with the booking approach spearheaded by Delirious in recent months. Christopher Daniels was placed in a prominent agent-type role earlier this year to try to balance things out and be more of a liaison to the locker room.

An example is the Young Bucks and Daniels re-writing segments that were originally written for the tag team at last weekend’s ROH TV tapings in Philadelphia.

In the office setting, lead ROH announcer Kevin Kelly has taken a similar role as Daniels trying to take some of the pressure off Delirious. (Details Reported Last Week)

  1. Hopefully they fire the Young Bucks, easily the most over-rated team in wrestling. They are spot monkeys who don’t know how to sell moves or tell a good story in their match.

  2. Kyle O’Reilly, in my opinion is one of the top 3 wrestlers outside the WWE. I can see him being a top guy in NXT. Can the WWE make Kyle a top star, does he fit their mold?
