SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Episode four of season 7 of “Total Divas” airs tonight, looking to recover from last week’s 355,000 viewers, the lowest ever for a premier episode of the WWE reality series on E! network. The viewership was down from 390,000 the prior week and 545,000 for the season premiere two weeks earlier.

The season premiere this year was down from last year’s season premiere of 724,000, which was a new low. The peak debut viewership was 1.20 million for season three.

The 18-49 female demo, according to our TV industry source with access to detailed ratings demographic breakdowns, began the season at 184,000 and dropped to 143,000 in week two and 123,000 last week. The 18-49 male demo started at 86,000 for the season premiere, dropped to 71,000 week two, and actually increased to 77,000 in week three. The real damage last week came among female viewers.

The dropoff over three weeks is about 35 percent, nearly identical, among both “all viewers” and also the coveted “18-49 adult” audience.
