•Closing Commentary

This week I want to talk about the differences that I noticed in this week’s episode of ROH. This was the first episode from the Pittsburgh TV tapings. This is the first TV taping since the G1 Supercard and the announcement of new members of the ROH Creative Team.

I felt a small but notable difference in the presentation of characters this week. Taven was able to spend five minutes explaining his character and actually making you care about the ROH Title. Silas Young and Jonathan Gresham got a lot of development in their feud. These two guys specifically are really talented, but their matches always feel unimportant.

We also got some promo time from Kelly Klein and Lifeblood (Mark Haskins and Tracey Williams). These did not land as well as the other two examples, but it is nice that ROH seems to be trying to develop characters, and not just throw them in random matches and hope for the best.
