MLW SUPERFIGHT TV RESULTS
MARCH 10, 2022
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

MLW Announcers: Rich Bocchini and St. Laurent

Alex Kane defeated A.C.H and Calvin Tankman – MLW National Openweight Championship

(Heydorn’s Analysis: Lot’s of action with each guy getting in a good amount of offense on the others. The main story is Kane and Tankman. While that was certainly a focus, Kane retaining was almost a forgone conclusion because of it.)

NZO defeated KC Navarro

(Heydorn’s Analysis: Not really a match, but an absolute massacre by NZO. Navarro bumped like a madman and did a nice job of making the attack look brutal. The shining moment of this was NZO’s post-beatdown promo. The guy could always work the microphone and he was eloquent and sharp in his delivery here. These two have a good story going and this was an effective next chapter.)

Alexander Hammerstone defeated Davey Richards – MLW World Heavyweight Championship

(Heydorn’s Analysis: As you could probably guess, this was quite the hard-hitting affair. Richards regularly brings that to his matches, but it was important to see of Hammerstone could hang and he did. The match was rooted in Richards working over Hammerstone’s leg and that narrative was well sold by the larger Hammerstone. Richards lost clean in the end, but it was competitive throughout. The post-match assault by Richard Holliday further his story around the MLW World Title and Hammerstone. Holliday has been good in this darker heel role, but it needs more seasoning. Still feels like he’s playing the part of a villain rather than living in that character.)

***5150 vs. The Von Erich’s for the MLW Tag Team Championship was scheduled for SuperFight, but was postponed indefinitely due to a prematch attack on The Von Erich’s by their opponents.***
