SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

The Briscoes will be returning to Impact Wrestling. The company announced on Friday that the former ROH World Tag Team Champions would be present at the April 24 television tapings the day after the Rebellion PPV event.

The Briscoes lost the ROH Tag Team Championships to FTR at ROH Supercard of Honor last week. Supercard of Honor was the first ROH show since the company’s self-imposed hiatus and the first under Tony Khan’s leadership as owner and booker of the company. There is no indication as to what the team will do with Impact or if they’ll have an in-ring presence. There is no word on whether or not The Briscoes will appear at the Rebellion PPV event either.

Impact Wrestling Rebellion will air live on PPV on Saturday April 23. Matches on the card include Josh Alexander vs. Moose for the Impact World Championship, Tasha Steelz vs. Rosemary for the Impact Knockouts Championship, Jonah vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Jay White vs. Chris Sabin vs. Steve Maclin, Ace Austin vs. Trey Miguel vs. Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship, Deonna Purrazzo vs. Taya Valkyrie, and more.

The Briscoes are former ROH World Tag Team Champions, GCW World Tag Team Champions, and IWGP World Tag Team Champions. They were inducted into the inaugural Ring of Honor Hall of Fame class early this year. Other inductees included C.M. Punk, Samoa Joe, and Bryan Danielson.
